More Israeli Violence

Unbelievable Israeli treatment of attempted non-violent protests against the West Bank Barrier is bringing to world consciousness even more stunning reality. When will it all stop? I know I said I wouldn't bring up the Palestinian situation again...but I can't keep that promise, as it is the biggest human rights violation on the Planet right now. Please look into it and make your voice heard in some way. You could talk with your neighbors and friends about what is going on over there, write to your congressmen, and support the many Jewish human rights organizations that are working to end these atrocities. We don't hear about it much on the news...one could wonder why. The abused become abusers. The cycle must end.

  1. Is it really "biggest human rights violation on the Planet right now", or is it just the easiest one to read about? It is very important to be sure of your facts before declaring them as facts. There are atrocities all over the world which are very easy to ignore when concentrating on the most photogenic one instead.

  2. President Jimmy Carter agrees,"biggest human rights violation on the Planet right now", and so many other great thinkers also...just look on the web. It is not the easiest one to read about. It is the most hushed story out there! If the atrocities were happening anywhere else they would be all over the news every day and would not be tolerated. Israel is a developed country! My God, where else in the developed world are such things happening?? I am very aware of the facts...I read about this issue and all world issues every day. I watch PBS and read books about it. There is also a huge Human Rights Movement in Israel, of all faiths and nationalities working against the atrocities...yet we hear nothing about it all on the news. It would be much more photogenic if the world press reporters were allowed to get at most of it, but they are not. The Israeli government does all they can to hush it up and keep them away...as in Gaza, the biggest prison in the world. In what other country in the civilized world are people taken from their ancestral homes and lands with little to no notice, their homes demolished, to make way for homes and settlements of the aggressors? In what other country in the civilized world are cavity searches performed on civilians, men, women, and even on some older children at check points when they try to visit relatives and friends? Could it be you who is uninformed?
